Position Purpose
This is an analytical and multi-tasking role that requires the team member to be able to review daily workflow, analyze and process the structured products and bank loans, to effectively communicate to clients, counterparties and other stakeholders. This role requires the team member to have an in-depth understanding of the warehouse loan market and other credit types, as well as understand the different trading strategies across their client’s portfolios.
Main Job Functions/Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the Loan Services team in India.
Act as an escalation contact for India BAU
Develop, adhere and maintain targets concerning staffing: production and productivity
Ensure all staff are appropriately trained and conduct interviews and performance evaluations
Liaise and coordinate with Integration Team on onboarding of new loan clients
Escalation of potential operational risks
Participate in and lead projects that may be defined from time to time in connection with the continuing expansion and evolution of the business
Participate in managerial functions in conjunction with the Senior VP
Any other functions required as part of the business of the Company, and reporting to the SVP
Shift will require working until late night IST.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration and 10-12 years of related fixed income or loan experience.
Product Knowledge: Structured products like ABS, MBS etc, Primary & Secondary Syndicated Bank Loans (Par & Distressed) as well as Total Return Swaps and Financing Facilities.
Sentry, Promerit, Wall Street Office, ClearStructure, LoanIQ or similar loan management system preferable.
Strong analytical, attention to detail, and problem solving skills
Significant management and leadership experience
Strong Client Relationship skills
Ability to learn new platforms and source information from numerous systems
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, and to work in a deadline-focused organization
A proven interest in the financial markets
Flexible, adaptive, professional style – capable of working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Strong computer skills, in particular with Excel and Word, and aptitude to learn new skills.
Experience supporting structured products (ABS, MBS, CMBS), pre-securitization and post, whole loan portforlio, an advantage
