Job Summary: Funding Coordinator will provide support to the accounting and title operation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Process payments, research disputed invoices, assist staff with questions regarding accounts, reimbursements, and reconciles assigned accounts.
Perform essential functions personally, through others, or in conjunction with designated personnel or outside vendors/experts.
Disbursement authorization verification, interpret and verify closing documents for accuracy, ensure funds are applied appropriately and closings are paid timely.
People with title and accounting experience are encouraged to apply.
Work hybrid and within virtual real estate transaction management platforms
Check all back-office systems’ accuracy of file information
Retrieve documents from title agents
Assist Title Agents with payment processing management platform and disbursement questions
Assist accounting and Title Agents reconciling daily all closings to ensure all files are up to date
Keep track counts of daily and monthly closings and post daily all transactions to meet company closing deadlines for reporting and compliance purposes
Engage in all receipts and disbursements within the accounting department, including general accounts payable and receivable
Perform daily/weekly/monthly bank reconciliation
Assist with the preparation of financial reporting for upper management monthly, quarterly and yearly
Maintain transaction data integrity across transaction management, accounting, and administrative platforms
Proactively reach out to Title Agents with information and updates related to payments, fees, taxes and other items as needed
Assist in meeting all compliance requirements including internal and external audits
Assist in the month end closing process, prepare reconciliations, accruals and ad hoc journal entries
Monthly reconciliation of Credit Cards
Other duties may be assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Experience in Mortgage operations required
Strong interpersonal-communication and business-relationship skills
Detail oriented
Time management and organization skills
Strong computer skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of products is preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Education and Experience:
Experience:
● Accounting, 2+ Years
● Proven experience with accounting system conversion or integration.
● Experience with office management tools
● Excellent organizational and time-management skills
● Strong written and oral communication skills
● Problem-solving attitude with an eye for detail
● Extensive project management experience and proven ability to multitask
● Proficiency in Google Suite, project management, and presentations
● Comfortable working with spreadsheets
Education:
● Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
● Knowledge of office policies and procedures
