Fundraising Campaign Organizer - Summer Student
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Youth to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our initiatives through effective planning, coordination, and execution of various projects. This position requires a strong focus on customer service. Near North Palliative Care Network is the Non-Profit Volunteer Visiting Hospice of Nipissing and East Parry Sound.
Responsibilities
The Fundraising Campaign Organizer will work with the summer fundraising campaigns and events hosted annually by the Near North Palliative Care Network. By working in this space, the successful candidate will obtain qualifying work experience in a small, charitable non-profit environment.
Those interested in corporate fundraising, sponsorships ,grants, volunteer management, event planning, social media advertising, traditional advertising, and nonprofit budgeting will find plentiful opportunities for training and meaningful work in this position.
Specialized job duties include: fundraising training, including for donor management systems, social media marketing, volunteer communication, newsletters, event planning, and event policies.
Receive and understand all office training,
Plan volunteer fundraising meetings and organize materials, catering, and communications. - Work with the Event Coordinator to develop digital and traditional marketing campaigns for all summer fundraisers, including the Annual Live Butterfly Release.
Meet with, email, and speak to sponsors for specific fundraising events. - Help develop posters and graphics for all events. - Answer any incoming calls regarding summer events from the general public.
Represent the NNPCN in public, including at Farmer's Markets, fundraising tables, and when performing any door-to-door business stops.
Assist with the general labor of event-hosting, including setup and takedown of tents, tables, supplies, food, and other items as needed.
Maintain strict budget-keeping for event costs, profits, and agreements. - Communicate with event collaborators and contractors .
Generalized duties include day-to-day office needs: - Assisting the NNPCN team with phone calls and emails. -Attending team meetings and reporting weekly to supervisors and the Executive Director. - Attending office events and supporting staff.
Qualifications
Strong customer service skills to engage with donors and stakeholders effectively
Proficient in research techniques to identify potential funding sources
Experience with databases for managing donor information
Knowledge of marketing strategies to promote fundraising campaigns
Ability to analyze data and generate reports to assess campaign effectiveness
