Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
Alumni & Community Communications
Strengthen relationships with alumni, parents, and friends of the College through strategic and tailored communications.
Lead the coordination of printed and digital communications.
Provide administrative support ensuring all donor records are accurate and up to date.
Track, monitor, and report on alumni news.
Ensure alumni social media channels (Facebook & LinkedIn), the College website, and e-newsletters remain up to date.
Conduct all communication in a professional, respectful, and cooperative manner.
Fundraising Communications
Work closely with the Director of Advancement to support the delivery of communications for the College’s fundraising programs and initiatives.
Coordinate the development and delivery of a range of fundraising communications including physical mailouts, email campaigns and appeal videos.
Assist in the planning and production of reports.
Write updates and feature stories showcasing the impact of philanthropy within the College community.
Provide a welcoming and engaging point of contact for a wide range of stakeholders.
Selection Criteria:
Essential
Excellent communications skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
Relevant university degree (Communications, Marketing, Business) or equivalent relevant experience.
Excellent writing, editing and proofing skills, with high attention to detail.
Strong organisational, administrative and time management skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with a high level of discretion and sensitivity.
Experience using data insights to inform communication strategies, segment audiences, and measure the impact of campaigns.
Experience using Microsoft Outlook, CRM systems, databases, email, email software, social media, print and digital media.
Experience with Adobe suite – in particular InDesign and Photoshop, as well as Canva and other design.
Ability to work in a small team with a hands-on approach.
Some after-hours work is required in relation to attending alumni and donor events.
Desirable
Experience and understanding of donor engagement strategies, philanthropic messaging, and fundraising appeals across various channels.
Experience in the educational and or tertiary educational sector is preferable but not essential.
