Full job description

Main Job Purpose

To plan and execute challenges and events for the charity. The role will have an annual income target for fundraising, working within agreed budgets and deadlines.

Accountabilities

Challenges and events

· Develop and execute a Challenges plan, managing the administrative, logistical, and operational elements of all challenges.

· Develop and execute an Events calendar, managing the administrative, logistical, and operational elements of all events.

· Prepare the resources and materials for events and activities, ensuring successful events and adequate availability of resources, to help maximise donations.

· Ensure challenges and events ae focused on income generation as well as positive brand exposure.

· For the planning of challenges and events, ensure all necessary documentation is completed and approved, such as budgets, planning forms, risk assessments, etc.

· Ensure AFH property and cash are handled responsibly at events and cash is securely processed after events

· Ensure income logs are completed timely and accurately.

Other

· Track own income and assist with report writing.

· Follow the Fundraising Code of Conduct and all AFH policies.

· Act as an ambassador for AFH.

Work Environment

· 25% indoors / office based

· 75% outdoors / travel / events / work trips etc.

Job Requirements

Education

· Strong numerical skills

Experience

· 1-2 years of experience of fundraising or volunteer work

Skills

· Knowledge of the Muslim Charity Sector

· Strong administration skills

· Ability to drive and own a car (Desirable but not essential)

Languages

Strong written and spoken English essential.

Arabic & French Desirable.
