Job Description
We are seeking a talented Furniture Designer with proven experience in developing detailed shop drawings for high-end customised residential and office furniture. The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge of wood, metal, polish, and marble applications, and the ability to translate design concepts into precise, production-ready drawings for our factory team.
Key Responsibilities
Shop Drawings: Prepare accurate and detailed shop drawings for customised furniture, including joinery, finishes, and installation details.
Design Development: Work closely with architects, interior designers, and clients to convert concepts into technical designs.
Material Application: Ensure designs incorporate appropriate use of wood, veneers, laminates, metals, polishes, and marble/stone finishes.
Factory Coordination: Collaborate with production and technical teams to ensure designs are feasible and aligned with manufacturing capabilities.
Detailing & Accuracy: Provide precise dimensions, hardware specifications, and material indications for factory production.
Problem Solving: Modify and refine drawings based on site conditions, production limitations, or client feedback.
Quality & Standards: Maintain high-quality detailing standards suitable for luxury furniture manufacturing.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: Diploma/Degree in Furniture Design, Interior Design, Product Design, or related field.
Experience: 3–6 years of experience designing and detailing luxury/customised furniture for factory production.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design software.
Strong understanding of joinery techniques, finishes, and furniture ergonomics.
Knowledge of production processes for woodworking, metal fabrication, polishing, and marble applications.
Personal Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to balance creativity with technical feasibility.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
