Job Summary

An Apprenticeship Opportunity is currently available in Company for those looking to pursue a Trade Career in Furniture Making. This is a Full-time position and the successful applicant would receive on-the-job training in addition to completing a Trade Certificate III in Cabinet Making & Timber Technology Furniture at TAFE.

Role Description

The position would include a wide range of tasks to include:

learn how to operate and program CNC 3-axis router

learn how to interpret Architectural & Workshop Drawings

calculate material and cutting lists

use Hand Tools

making measurements and calculate

select and apply hardware

assemble furniture components

apply surface coatings

learn how to construct Jigs and Fixtures

learn how to operate wood machinery

Required Skills

We are looking with applicants that have:

basic math skills

have a keen interest in furniture making and timber machining

hold strong communication skills, be self-motivated, reliable and like hands on work

have a positive attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced Team environment

Preferred Skills

have a willingness to learn and build their career by obtaining their Trade Certificate
