A purpose driven role for you
o Assess and implement Functional Safety on automotive electronics components of ICE/EV/Hybrid vehicles.
o In Continuous interaction with Hardware, Software, and testing team you will develop Firmware guaranteeing delivery having Quality in committed Time.
o Mainly focus on: Assess and implement Functional Safety in software.
A Day in the life
~ Deriving Functional Safety Software Requirements for Safety Critical Automotive components.
• Support Hardware Safety Requirements Safety Critical Automotive components.
• Developing Function Monitoring layer as per ISO26262 standards.
- Developing Functional Safety System Design for Control units, Inverter and other Power Electronics Sub- Systems using Matlab tools.
• Perform Safety analysis at System/ Software/ Hardware
– FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA - Analyse Stakeholder Requirements.
• Interface with experts across the globe to evaluate and specify power electronics sub-systems requirements.
• Generate Product Definition Document (detailed product requirement)
• Generate power electronics controllers design concept (Product Mechanization)
• Develop Model Based Design using tools like Matlab/ Simulink
• Development of software based on Autosar
• Expertise in using software development tools (Lauterbach, HEW, VSlick etc.)
• Knowledge of SW build environment, Compliers & MAKE files.
• Develop according to Software configuration management (SVN etc.)
• Able to develop CAN Simulation/dbc files from CAN Matrix, Knowledge in using Vector CAN tools (like CANalyzer, CANoe), ETAS-INCA,etc.
~Debugging, problem solving and Implementation of Corrective measures.
~Preparing Design Records and Testing Data
Academic Qualification & Experience
BTech/MTech in Electronics, Instrumentation, Automotive or equivalent. Advanced Qualifications are an advantage.
Technical Skills/Knowledge
Embedded software design and development, Embedded Linux, Embedded C/C++,
Knowledge of Functional Safety as described in ISO 26262
Experiential knowledge of software implementation of ISO26262 Guidelines and Safety requirements of Safety Critical components.
Knowledge about software development tools (Lauterbach, HEW, VSlick etc. ) and SW build environment, Compliers & MAKE files.
Knowledge about CAN Simulation/dbc files from CAN Matrix,
Knowledge in using Vector CAN tools (like CANalyzer, CANoe), ETAS-INCA,etc.
Understanding of Automotive Standards like MISRA Quality of software, MAAB (M automotive advisory board) Experience with NodeJS.
Familiarity with SailsJS Experience in REST API design would be a bonus
Knowledge of development and operation methods related to agile software
Experience of working in ASPICE process capability maturity model, good experience in V-model development process.
Knowledge of communication protocol like CAN, Modbus as well as SPI , LIN , K-LINE
Behavioural Skills
Use to work under multi project and with time constrain
Excellent communication and intercultural skills
