Grade UE06: £34,610 - £39,906 per annum

Full time: 35 hours per week
Open ended: permanent contract
The Opportunity:
The successful applicant will work with colleagues from across the University, and with partners in other organisations, to undertake key projects that ensure that Gaelic is a visible language on our campuses and its culture is promoted across Edinburgh. They will develop Gaelic-related academic, cultural and social activities for our students, staff and local community and promote these through the University’s Gaelic social media channels. They will also play an important role in monitoring and evaluating activity against the objectives of the Gaelic Language Plan.
Working within the Stakeholder Relations and Community teams, the post-holder will also provide content for the Edinburgh Local social media channels and attend meetings and events with city stakeholder groups as well as leading on the University’s annual Doors Open Day programme.
They will also look at upcoming issues which could be of potential interest to the University and our community stakeholders from across the city and flag these to colleagues in a timely manner.
