Job Description for 2D Game Animator (Fresher)
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic 2D Game Animator (Fresher) who is passionate about games and animation. The candidate will work closely with game designers and artists to create smooth, appealing animations for characters, environments, and UI elements in mobile or PC games.
This role is ideal for freshers who have a strong foundation in 2D animation tools and are eager to learn game production pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
IMPORTANT
Portfolio or demo reel showcasing 2D animations or game-style animations
Create 2D character animations such as idle, walk, run, attack, and action cycles
Animate game UI elements, effects, and transitions
Use Spine for skeletal animation and character rigging
Create and refine animations using After Effects when required
Prepare and optimize animation assets for game engines
Collaborate with designers, developers, and artists to ensure animation quality
Make revisions based on feedback and maintain consistency with the game’s art style
Software & Technical Requirements
Spine – basic to intermediate knowledge (rigging & animation)
Adobe After Effects – basic animation and motion graphics
Adobe Photoshop – basic knowledge (layer handling, asset preparation)
Required Skills
Understanding of basic animation principles (timing, spacing, squash & stretch)
Ability to follow an art style and animation references
Good eye for movement, rhythm, and game feel
Willingness to learn and improve animation quality
Nice to Have (Optional)
Familiarity with game engines like Unity
Basic understanding of sprite sheets and game pipelines
Interest in mobile or casual games
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
