Cofounded by graduates of IIT KPG, IISc, DCE and IIM A, Immersive Labz is working on virtual 3D science labs for science students. Immersive Labz has been funded and backed by a top Education Institutes in India.
We are currently hiring a Gameplay Writer to join our team and develop unique, exciting and fun gamified ed-tech experiences.
Responsibilities of a Gameplay Writer
Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing context and meaning to the gameplay experience for virtual science labs
• Driving and assisting in the creation and development of story and character arcs in collaboration with other teams
• Writing in-game dialogue as well as setting or adopting tones and character voices that support game design goals while staying on-brand
• Ensuring that all narrative reference documents are up to date and accessible to various teams
• Work with objectives and goals for projects and develop strategic plan.
• Collaborate on creating content and upholding Management’s expectation.
• Able to work within scope of budget and timeline provided.
• Knowledgeable about new technologies and methods of storytelling.
• Ability to write all creative concepts.
• Gamifying lab experiment content for standard +, 10, 11, 12 and undergraduate students.
• Work in collaboration with subject matter expert for gamification of contents.
Key Requirements
• You have a degree/diploma in Engineering, Medical, Science or Related field
• You have prior experience of more than 2 years as a Game Writer and a strong portfolio of writing samples
• You have a strong understanding of Narrative game design and the impact of dialogue and text on player experience
• You are passionate about playing games across multiple genres
• You are a strong team player who can collaborate effectively with different stakeholders
• Interest in games
• Good narrative skills
• Good in communication(verbal and written)
• Knowledge about story board.
• Knowledge about game mechanics and functionalities.
• Write the story, level concepts, character descriptions, plot and dialogue of the game
• Fast learner.
