MSS Security is seeking a Full Time Gatehouse Security Officers to join our team at a distribution centre located in Ballarat. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the security of our premises, ensuring controlled access, and providing a safe environment for staff, visitors, and property.
The position offers a Level 4 pay rate of $28.02 per hour, plus super and shift penalties where applicable.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Respond promptly to emergencies and report incidents as they occur.
Monitor CCTV footage and radio communication systems to detect any security threats or suspicious activities.
Manage access control by verifying the identity of visitors, employees, and contractors.
Write detailed reports following incidents, documenting any security breaches.
Conduct foot and vehicle patrols to ensure the safety of the premises.
Ideal candidates will have:
Prior experience in security, particularly in gatehouse or access control roles, is preferred.
The physical capability to conduct regular patrols.
A solid understanding of security procedures.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Requirements:
Full Australian Working Rights.
Valid Victorian Security Licence.
Valid Victorian Drivers Licence.
Certificate II in Security Operations (or higher).
Valid First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain).
Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster.
