Gen Z Kannada Copywriter – Digital & Entertainment Content

About the Role:
Spotbuk is looking for a Gen Z Kannada Copywriter who’s fluent in the language of trends, memes, and storytelling. You’ll craft copy that connects instantly with today’s Kannada-speaking digital audience across reels, OTT content, influencer campaigns, and brand marketing. If you live on social media and think in captions, this one's for you.
Key Responsibilities:
???? Write quirky, relatable, and catchy Kannada copy for:
• Reels, influencer videos, and meme content
• OTT show promos, trailers, and film campaigns
• Brand creatives, event posts, and campaign lines
???? Add flavor and tone to brand messaging in spoken Kannada
???? Stay updated on trends and integrate them into scripts and captions
???? Collaborate with video editors, designers, and content creators
Requirements:
✅ Fluency in colloquial and Gen Z-style Kannada writing
✅ Strong grasp of pop culture, slang, and social media trends
✅ Prior experience writing for Instagram, YouTube, OTT or youth brands
✅ Ability to switch tones – witty, emotional, dramatic – as per brief
✅ Basic English writing skills for internal collaboration
Nice to Have:
• Experience working with entertainment brands or influencers
• Familiarity with Kannada memes, reels, and TikTok-style formats
• Scriptwriting or content ideation skills
