Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)

Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, and supporting financial reporting, budgeting, and audit activities

Assist AR and AP in the daily operations when issue arise

Provide insight and guidance on proper resolutions to these issues

Support the Finance Controller with analytical reports

Support cross departmental teamwork with finance knowledge and insights

Other duties may be assigned

Accurately prepare, maintain, and analyze financial records in line with GAAP standards

Provide support and guidance to the accounts payable and receivable teams on daily operational issues and troubleshooting

Oversee the general ledger, ensuring that all transactions are properly classified and recorded

Oversee the inventory movements from an accounting perspective

Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements

Support the preparation of financial reports for management

Ensure cash and banking activities (payment preparation, daily cash position review...) are performed

Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and financial reporting requirements

Assist in the development of the company's annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts

Analyze and report on variances between actual and budgeted financial performance, offering insights and recommendations to management

Contribute to initiatives that control costs and identify opportunities for improved financial efficiency

Handle the preparation and timely submission of property tax, sales tax filings, ensuring full compliance with tax regulations

Ensure compliance with state and federal statutory reporting requirements, including preparing and submitting tax filings

Support the review and filing of annual corporate taxes, ensuring proper documentation

Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary reports and documentation

Identify opportunities for improving financial processes, enhancing workflow efficiency, and strengthening internal controls

Collaborate in the implementation and upgrading of accounting software and systems, ensuring alignment with business needs

Ensure seamless integration between accounting platforms (e.g., SAP, PowerBI) and financial reporting tools
