General Construction Laborer

PROFORM Concrete Services is currently seeking general construction laborers for our Commercial Division in Red Deer.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Seasonal, full-time, overtime, weekday and weekends, travel required

SALARY: Starting - $17/hr.

JOB DUTIES:

· Placing and tying rebar

· Setting forms

· Operate hand and power tools

· Clean and prepare construction sites

· Maintain tools and equipment

· Loading and unloading materials at construction site

· Shovel and rake concrete

· Material handling and storage

· Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in concrete and masonry construction work

· Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions

· Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely

· Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions

· Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency

REQUIREMENTS:

· High school diploma/GED preferred

· Must be able to work out of town

· 1+ years construction industry experience preferred

· Drivers license is preferred

· Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
