Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Underwriter – General Insurance (EB & Non-EB) to join Disha Investment Insurance Brokers Private Limited in Bengaluru. The role involves preparing insurance quotes, assessing risk exposures, and ensuring proper coverage across a wide range of general insurance products including Motor, Marine, Fire, Burglary, Workmen Compensation, Public Liability, GMC, GPA, and CAR/IAR policies.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare quote formats for multiple GI products including Motor, Marine, Fire, Burglary, WC, Liability, GMC, GPA, CAR/IAR.
• Examine existing insurance covers and identify gaps, risks not covered, or omissions required.
• Design RFQs based on risk assessments and float them to insurers.
• Prepare quotations with clear terms, clauses, excess, or deductibles.
• Ensure client acceptance of proposed terms and finalize agreements.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Requirements:
• Graduate degree, preferably with specialization in Insurance/Finance.
• Prior experience in underwriting general insurance (EB & Non-EB) products.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment and insurance cover design.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple product lines independently.
