We are looking for a driven individual to join as a General Labourer.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Sort, cut and stack incoming lumber
Operate automation equipment with proper training, in a safe and responsible manner
Use hand tools and battery powered tools such as: saws and nail guns
Provide support to other departments as needed
Assist in post-fabrication work on NLT Panels
Other duties as required
Qualifications and Skills:
Class G driver’s license
Highschool diploma or GED
Basic math skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to read a tape measure
Excellent work ethic and attitude
Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team
Must have the ability to learn quickly
Flexibility to work overtime as required
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies
Experience in lumber and/or industrial environments is considered an asset
Forklift certificate would be an asset
Mechanical aptitude would be an asset
Physical Requirements:
Lift/carry up to 50 lbs
Lift/carry 20-40 lbs, repetitively for 8-12 hours a day
Handle noise, vibration and dust
Stand for extended periods of time
Ability to work outside at various times of year
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
Additional pay:
Overtime pay
