Overview
Seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our experienced roofing team as a Laborer/Apprentice Roofer. Ideally looking for someone who is wanting a career as a Red seal roofer as we will provide apprenticeship opportunities to the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting experienced roofers with various tasks, including:
Material handling and preparation
Tear-off and removal of old roofing materials
Installation of underlayment, insulation, and flashing
Assisting with the application of various roofing materials (e.g., shingles, metal, membrane)
Maintaining a clean and safe worksite
Learning and adhering to all safety regulations and best practices as outlined by WorkSafeBC and Dauntless Ventures inc.
Developing a strong understanding of roofing terminology, materials, and installation techniques
Demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Experience
No prior roofing experience is typically required for entry-level Labourer/Apprentice Roofer positions.
Physical fitness: Roofing involves physical labor, including lifting, carrying, and working at heights
Safety-mindedness: A strong commitment to safety protocols is essential in the roofing industry.
Work ethic: Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are crucial for success.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential.
Construction experience (preferred but not required): Experience in other construction trades, such as general labor, framing, or carpentry, can be beneficial.
