Job Description
Tom Veert Contracting Limited (TVC) is a heavy civil construction company in Northern Ontario. Performing work in the mining, transportation, and industrial sectors, TVC is seeking an experienced Labourer to join our team in a full-time, seasonal capacity.
Roles and Responsibilities
General labour on road construction, heavy civil, municipal and mine sites
Report to designated field supervisor
Perform all tasks in a safe manner
Conducting their work professionally and productively
Represent themselves in a positive way while representing the company.
Knowledge and Skills
Comfortable working around heavy equipment
Team player with a positive attitude
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Dedicated and committed
Have knowledge of safe work practices
Positive attitude towards working safely
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Valuable Assets
Previous experience in the construction industry
Possess a valid Class G Driver’s License
Traffic Control Person Training
Knowledgeable on Ontario Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 – 70 per week
Schedule:
12 hour shift
Work Location: In person
