Job Title: General Labourer – Pallet Jack / Pallet Machine Operator
Location: Wilberforce – Morning Shift
Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor / Logistics Manager
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
We are seeking reliable and physically capable General Labourers to join our warehouse team in Wilberforce . This role primarily involves operating pallet machines and moving pallets using manual or electric pallet jacks. The successful candidate will be required to keep pace with machinery, handle timber materials, and maintain a safe, efficient, and well-organised work environment. This position does not require forklift operation.
Key Responsibilities
Operate manual or electric pallet jacks to move pallets safely within the warehouse
Operate and run pallet machines at a set production rate
Load pallet machines with timber components up to 1200mm in length
Ensure continuous supply of materials to machines to avoid downtime
Stack, secure, and move completed pallets to designated storage areas
Load and unload goods from trucks using pallet jacks where required
Maintain clean and orderly work areas in line with safety standards
Perform basic quality checks on pallets and materials during production
Assist with general warehouse duties such as sorting, packaging, and housekeeping
Report any safety hazards, machine faults, or equipment issues to supervisors immediately
Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or labouring role preferred
Experience operating pallet jacks or pallet machinery is an advantage
Forklift licence not required
Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a team
Physical Requirements
Must be physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods
Ability to lift, carry, and handle timber materials up to [X] kg
Repetitive manual handling involved while keeping pace with machinery
Ability to bend, reach, and manoeuvre safely throughout the shift
