We are seeking a highly experienced General Manager to lead our operations in Australia.

Job Purpose

The General Manager – Australia is responsible for the strategic, operational, and financial performance of Acumed Australia. Reporting to the Vice President, International, with a dotted line to the President of Acumed LLC, this role oversees all commercial, operational, and compliance functions to drive business growth and maintain market leadership in the Australian medical device sector.

Duties/Responsibilities

Financial & Business Leadership

Manage the Profit & Loss (P&L) for Acumed Australia, driving sustainable revenue growth and profitability.
Develop and execute strategic business plans to expand market share and optimize operational performance.
Monitor financial performance, sales data, and business KPIs, ensuring strategic alignment with global objectives.
Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, including tax and reporting obligations.

Operations & Compliance

Oversee supply chain and logistics to ensure product availability and customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with Australian medical regulations, including product recalls, complaints handling, and reporting obligations.
Implement Lean methodologies to improve efficiency and operational performance.

Sales & Marketing

Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to increase revenue and expand the customer base.
Oversee key customer relationships, including major healthcare providers, hospitals, and government health bodies.
Lead pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and tender submissions.

People Leadership & Talent Development

Manage and develop a high-performing team across multiple functions, including sales, marketing, and operations.
Ensure career progression, training, and development programs for Australian employees.
Drive employee engagement and retention strategies in alignment with company values.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in the medical device industry, including trauma and orthopedics.
At least 5 years in a senior leadership role with P&L responsibility.
Proven experience leading commercial teams and driving business growth.
Strong knowledge of Australian healthcare and medical device regulations.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-site operations.
Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and forecasting experience.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
5+ years of experience at Acumed LLC preferred

Pay Range

240,000.00 - 360,000.00
