As General Manager for the Banking Vertical, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive revenue, profitability, and market share within the banking domain. You will be leading a team of sales and account management professionals and collaborating with various departments including operations and product to ensure the successful management and expansion of the Banking vertical. A ridiculously. effective and hard-working group thats on track to get to $10M+ ARR this year. Your task is to help grow this team. Key Responsibilities: Vertical Establishment: Take full ownership of the category's performance and growth, driving strategic initiatives to achieve business objectives. Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to launch and set up the Insurance vertical at Squadstack. Develop a comprehensive business plan, including market analysis, competitive insights, and go-to-market strategies. Business Development and Revenue Generation: Identify potential clients and strategic partners within the insurance industry. Develop and implement revenue-generating initiatives to achieve and surpass set financial targets for the Insurance vertical. Monitor sales pipelines, track performance metrics, and identify growth opportunities. Take the lead in strategic customer engagements, negotiations, and key account management. P&L Management: Utilize financial insights to make informed decisions and drive profitability. Showcase strong decision-making abilities, backed by data-driven insights and a strategic mindset. Take ownership of outcomes and hold oneself accountable for results. Process Excellence and Delivery: Implement and enforce strong process excellence methodologies to optimize operational efficiency and service delivery. Collaborate with the Delivery Lead to ensure smooth execution and quality service to customers. Demonstrate a deep understanding of operational intricacies, particularly in a high-servicability environment. Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency. People Management and Recruitment: Exhibit exceptional people management skills, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Take charge of recruitment efforts to attract top talent and build a skilled and motivated team. Product Feedback Inputs: Act as a crucial conduit between clients and our product team. Gather valuable feedback from customers, understand their pain points, and provide actionable insights to enhance our product offerings. Requirements 6-9 years of progressive experience in the banking industry, in retail sales or customer focussed teams. Previous experience as a P&L owner, with a deep understanding of P&L factors and financial metrics. Has successfully led and achieved sales and revenue targets, with a track record of managing a monthly recurring revenue (MRR) of at least 2 cr. Understand use cases, best practices, nuances, key metrics, etc of telecalling within the banking industry. Possess in-depth knowledge and expertise in the banking domain. Analyze and capitalize on opportunities to enhance our product offerings and remain competitive in the marketplace. Ability to effectively orchestrate with stakeholders across different teams and departments to align strategies and achieve collective goals. Persona Self-starter, motivated, comfortable working in a high-paced startup environment, balancing execution with building processes and systems for scale Strong experience in sales, customer-facing roles, and managing high-revenue quotas. A numbers-driven individual with a track record of achieving revenue targets and driving profitability. Strong leadership and people management abilities, with a passion for developing and mentoring teams to achieve outstanding results.
