We have an exciting opportunity for a General Manager to build on the success of the beautiful Swan Hotel, Bibury, part of the stunning collection of seven Cotswold Inns & Hotels.
Located in the charming Cotswold village of Bibury, once described by William Morris as ‘the most beautiful village in England.’ Tourist hotspots in Bibury include Arlington Row, a row of weaver’s cottages owned by the National Trust, the River Coln, Bibury Trout Farm and the Church of St Mary, a Saxon Church dating back to AD1130. It is these elements that make Bibury such a huge draw for local and international tourist, as well as a dream wedding location.
The Swan is a busy 22 bedroomed hotel, including 4 stunning Cotswold Stone cottages, which are due to be fully refurbished in time for Christmas! It also boasts an elegant bar, courtyard, private gardens, and a Double Rosette-awarded brasserie, which welcomes residents and visitors to the village alike. It is a fast paced environment hosting upwards of 45 weddings a year, large numbers of tourists, tour groups, along with other events and conferences throughout the year.
The next General Manager of The Swan Hotel will need to have experience in delivering both high volume premium function and food occasions and will have previous hotel experience. The ability to train and motivate the team to offer great service especially during peak trading will be essential. Building and maintaining strong relationships between each department within the hotel will be vital. Impeccable retail standards will be essential to the future success of the hotel.
