Enlighted defines the intersection of Big Data and the Internet of Things. The lighting channel is key to our strategy of delivering IoT solutions that change the way people interact with the built environment. We are looking for an ambitious team member with experience collaborating with internal stake holders e.g., engineering, marketing, supply chain and other customer facing teams and external stake holders e.g., customers, partners, manufacturers, contractors, and designers to create value beyond turning the lights on. As a product manager, you will be leading a portfolio of the most advanced IoT and lighting control products in the industry. More than just controlling lights, your products will empower our customers to enhance workplaces with workflow, utilization, location, security, and energy insights based on data not available with any other IoT platform. Enlighted product platform and user experience is world’s best, and it pays for itself through energy savings. That is why 33% of the Fortune 50 install Enlighted products in their facilities.
We are looking for a General Manager who will lead and manage our Global Technology Center [GTC] in Chennai, India. The role is for an experienced leader who will have overall accountability for a 125+ vibrant talent at GTC and help us keep growing.

General Manager – Global Technology Center
Experience

Responsibilities
• Serve as the overall Enlighted-GTC’s [Global Technology Center] operations leader in India, reporting directly to the Global COO
• Own GTC's complete P&L, oversee all spending, ensuring each funded budget is managed in close collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team
• Direct responsibility for all non-engineering/delivery functions [HR, Finance, IT Infra]
• Shared responsibility for Engineering, Operations, and other delivery functions [Engineering, Product, Support, DevOps, etc.] with the respective functional leaders in the US
• Develop deep relationships with the Executive Leadership team to understand pain points and orchestrate meaningful change within the GTC organization
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across the organization to drive forward strategic initiatives for GTC
• Develop and implement a strategic plan to grow the GTC, aligned with the global organization’s vision and objectives
• Be the trusted leader - establish trust with the existing GTC leadership teams
• Oversee and own all workforce planning and partnerships, ensuring engagements stay on budget and deliver expected results
• Ensure compliance with local rules and regulations, solicit external counsel when required, and keep all relevant parties informed of the risks
• Drive talent quality through a robust Talent Management process and alignment globally for culture fitment
• Drive connectivity into Siemens' India functions wherever required
• Participate in the development and management of local site events and key programs
• Drive the evolution of GTC operations, ensuring:
o The right GTC operating model
o Maintain a strong culture
o Right people strategy such as pay - compensation benchmarking and benefits, Org. structure and alignment, etc,.
o A strong BCP across all GTC Operations
• Grow and promote the company as one of the “best places to work” through social media campaigns, Nasscom, Community outreach, thought leadership and knowledge sharing, company activities, etc.
Candidate Profile
• 12 to 15 years of experience in leadership roles at Hi-Tech, Engineering companies managing a scale of 150+ (approx.) talents in a Global Capability Center
• Strong communication and articulation with a compelling executive presence
• Experience working for a US or Europe-based enterprise technology company
• Excellent track record of recruiting and retaining top talent
• Strong focus on building and maintaining a culture conducive to customer success; work-life balance; employee career growth, job satisfaction, and a sense of “I Belong”
• Experience working in captive setups is a must
• Strong preference for candidates with a track record of successfully managing and growing Hi-Tech organizations as a technical and a people leader
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in handling Board activities and company operating compliance requirements
• Experience working in a start-up environment is highly preferred
• One or more Wireless/mobile/embedded devices/IoT/ lighting product development experience will be a huge plus
Educational Qualification
Master’s in General Management along with a Bachelor’s in Engineering with strong IT fundamentals
