JOB PROFILE:-

Position- General Manager- 'Purchase'

Qualification- Degree in Business/ Economics/ Engineering (Civil/PEB), (Graduate/Post Graduate preferred)
• ********PEB/FABRICATION/STEEL INDUSTRY- Major Preference*****************

Experience- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in procurement.

CTC (monthly)- 55K-65K

Location- Jaipur, Rajasthan

ROLES AND RESPONSES:-
• Ensuring the entire purchase, direct or indirect of the organisation will be executed by Purchase team as per company’s policies and norms.
• Coordinating with Planning and Operations team weekly, quarterly and annually & post every closed new deal for detailed unit wise specifications of required material per site wise and ensuring timely delivery of the same.
• Regular coordination meetings with Finance and Accounting team for purchase payment approvals and ensuring such approvals are in place (as per company's norms and policies) before making any prior payment commitments to vendors, contractors, or any related person/purposes.
• Building and maintaining relationship with all kind of our industry related (PEB/CIVIL) raw material dealers/traders, factory owners, fabricators, vendors, distributors, steel manufacturers/producers, all in all, industry related raw/fabricated material's vendor, etc. for smooth and timely inflow of required material.
• Ensure completion of the registration process for direct purchase from genuine manufacturers and maintain good and humble relationship so as to increase company's goodwill.
• Identifying and incorporating new vendors and contractors to our list of suppliers.
• Create Master Vendor & Supplier list, with proper details and specifications intact and documented. Regular updates to be incorporated every 3-4 days.
• Responsible for ongoing management of purchasing strategy and activity and ensuring optimal supplier performance and prices offered.
• Develop and implement a strategy to ensure the function is operating in line with the objectives of the business to add value, mitigate supply chain risk and deliver cost savings.
• Creating provisions and conducting regular site inspections by collecting material usage data from site supervisors to minimise loss, theft and damages incurred. So, as to identify the reasons incurring losses to the organisation and escalating such matters directly to the management.
• Should practice confidentiality and undertake responsibility to respect and practice the work flow process as per company’s norms and policies.
• Ensuring site wise maintenance of Stock and Inventory as per desired company norms as well as creating logs to bring in task efficiency.
• Continuous acquisition of new competent vendors and contractors for optimum cost utilisation with the best quality products and services. Also, augmenting them in company’s supplier list and ensuring they live up to their commitments.
• Formulating and implementing Vendor Contract Management System. Designing the accurate terms and conditions and payment clause benefiting the organisation.
• Active co-ordinance with all the other departments within the organisation i.e. Accounts, Operations, Sales and Planning. Before raising a request to release a vendor’s payment, (as per commitment) shall only be processed after attaining approval from all the designated authorities. Post releasing the payment, the 3-way matching of PO, receipt & invoice shall be done.
• Attaining market information about relevant business opportunities and new technologies/products in the market. Also adding, replacing and scanning information from external sources, industry, competitors, etc for organisation’s upgradation and growth.
• Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries.
• Ensuring maintenance of necessary logs and dashboards by respective individuals as per their job role for smooth processing of the processes.
• Ensuring maintenance of complete inventory of the various purchases/ materials across levels.
• Ensuring proper maintenance of procured material (delivered at sites) and managing the same at various locations in a proper and professional manner.
• Providing material and manpower within the stipulated time frame following the site wise workflow chart.
• Making sure that no purchase activity is encouraged without acquiring 3-4 Quotations for the required materials/services along with signed Purchase Order with payment details and timelines.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:-
• At least 8-10 years of experience in a reputed company of which at least 4-6 years experience handling team independently.
• Negotiate supplier contracts: Purchasing managers oversee contract negotiations with suppliers, which includes approving contracts written by purchasing agents and assisting with complex or large-scale supplier agreements.
• Overseeing inventory levels: These professionals evaluate inventory needs, maintain appropriate levels of current stock and devise strategies for disposing of outdated items in profitable ways.
• Evaluating and improving procurement strategies: Purchasing managers are responsible for assessing an organization’s existing procurement strategies and recommending methods for decreasing costs, time or waste.
• Independent thought process related to business needs.
• Ability to understand and meet business requirements without compromising on independence.
• Firm desire to learn and perform by showcasing leadership and ownership skills.
• Should be an enthusiastic individual always ready to take up challenges and work pressure.
• Candidate must have proven leadership experience and have demonstrated abilities in purchase, negotiations and customer relationship management.
• Candidates with PEB / CIVIL construction and related purchase experience is our first preference.
• Must be around 35-45 years of age.

Compensation will not be a constraint for the deserving candidate.

Purchase Head and his team will have an incentive plan linked with the salary structure depending upon the cost saved through effective procurement process.
