Job Title: General Manager, Restaurant Operations
Classification: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Department: Operations
Reports To: Market Leader
The General Manager, Restaurant Operations is key to enhancing and delivering the Church's Chicken Brand. This role aims to grow sales while ensuring the efficiency and profitability of the restaurant through adherence to brand standards.
Essential Job Functions
• Staffing: Recruit, hire, and retain talented employees.
• Create a positive team culture focused on service excellence.
• Ensure all employees are trained and certified.
• Evaluate team performance and support career development for staff.
Delivering Exceptional Brand Experience:
• Implement Church's Chicken standards consistently.
• Maintain cleanliness and operational efficiency of the restaurant.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality products in accordance with brand standards.
• Adhere to all cleaning protocols and maintain staff uniformity.
Sales and Customer Loyalty:
• Set and communicate clear sales targets.
• Optimize staff deployment based on sales forecasts.
• Identify local marketing opportunities to attract new customers.
• Monitor local market trends and competition.
Profitability:
• Manage staffing levels to align with actual sales.
• Comply with labor laws and regulations.
• Monitor and manage inventory to minimize waste.
• Ensure proper cash handling and conduct cash audits.
Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed depending on business requirements.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years of management experience in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry.
• ServSafe Certified.
• Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and under pressure.
• Proven leadership abilities to motivate and develop a diverse team.
Physical Requirements/Environment / Working Conditions
• Office and restaurant environments with extended periods of standing and movement.
• Travel to restaurant locations may be necessary, with some overnight travel required.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
