About The Role
The primary purpose of the role of General Manager Supply Chain is to provide leadership over the organisations Supply Chain System and to ensure its highly customer centric, effective, and efficient operation. Functions include inventory optimisation, purchasing, and distribution.
Your team is responsible for implementing leading supply chain management practices, ensuring ongoing service delivery, necessary system resilience and mitigation of supply chain risks. The supply chain system operates with national, regional, and local dynamics. National supply chain functions ensure that the system is optimised, while regional and local supply chain teams play a key role in operational delivery and maintaining regional and local level relationships. The General Manager Supply Chain is responsible for ensuring that this system is cohesive and integrated.
About You
To excel in this role, you will probably have a relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification and a wealth of experience across the facets of supply chain management and experience operating at a senior management level. You will have proven experience with leading supply chain operations within a large, complex, distributed environment, as well as experience and demonstrated success with supply chain optimisation and business improvement. You will be comfortable working in an ambiguous, transformational change environment.
