(1 Hour Lunch break each day at 12-1)
This position has an option for a Live In opportunity with a contribution of 20% of the Market Rent (Approx £200pcm)
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing teams, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service across all departments. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in driving the business forward through strategic planning, operational excellence, and staff development.
Whilst there will be a strong team, the candidate must be under no désillusion that this will be a very hands-on role. There will be times when the chef / staff / cleaners don't turn up for work & the manager will be expected to roll their sleeves up and get their hands dirty. This is not a back office role.
Duties
Lead and supervise all aspects of restaurant or hotel operations, including food preparation, serving, and hospitality services.
Oversee the Check ins and Check outs of the Guest Rooms (6 Rooms)
Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Manage kitchen operations, including food production and culinary standards.
Supervise staff members, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
Maintain high standards of customer service by ensuring team members deliver an outstanding guest experience.
Coordinate with suppliers and manage inventory to ensure smooth daily operations.
Develop and implement operational policies to improve efficiency and profitability.
Handle customer complaints or concerns promptly to uphold the establishment’s reputation.
Organise staff rotas and oversee team management to optimise productivity.
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of all areas within the premises in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Experience
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices.
Demonstrable leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams in fast-paced settings.
Knowledge of food production processes and kitchen operations.
Previous experience in restaurant or hotel management is highly desirable.
Familiarity with hospitality standards such as serving, barista duties, or culinary arts is advantageous.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
