Responsibilities:
Clean, and perfect machined parts made of steel, and other metals using hand and power tools.
Read and interpret production orders and specifications or as instructed by the Supervisor and Production Manager.
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials made of steel & other metals
Measure and mark materials as per specifications to avoid costly mistakes or omissions.
Check final product to ensure conformance to company standards.
Load and unload construction materials transferring them to appropriate work stations.
Assist with maintenance of machinery, if necessary.
Assist with shipping & receiving of parts, when required.
Work in a safe, respectful and efficient manner following shop safety policies at all times.
Clean and stock shop area.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Excellent decision-making skills and attention to detail.
Complete fast, repetitive actions, such as drilling, filing, grinding or cutting.
Mechanical/technical aptitude working with detailed production instructions.
Ideally you are adaptable to changing roles within the function.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, considered an asset.
Class 5 driver’s license, considered an asset.
Ability to work on feet for up to 10 hours per day; with rotations and breaks.
A valid forklift operator’s certification considered an asset.
Ability to lift 50lbs throughout the day.
Experience operating power tools, considered an asset.
C-Level welder, considered an asset.
