Department / Section : Treasury & Markets
Reports To : Head of Business Management Support
Job Purpose
Set up and manage solutions and infrastructure to support the growth of new activities planned for Treasury & Markets. They include IT solutions & integration, business support, product support, risk, legal and compliance and others as needed in the area of corporate governance. Work with other desk heads in Treasury & Markets to support the development of new products, for budget numbers and estimates, preparation of various presentations and to ensure that the service quality delivered by back office and IT functions are of the highest standard. To also assist Head of Treasury & Markets and Head of BMS in the implementation of new business initiatives and projects.
As a member of Treasury & Markets, collectively responsible for business strategy and direction, and management of the business.
Key Accountabilities Dimensions
Cost: Create annual budget linking it to the strategic business plan. Deliver actual costs within budget and identify savings through increased efficiency
Quality and efficiency: Ensure quality support in place for new products, new business initiatives and processes. Increase trader efficiency through automation projects.
Time: Ensure quicker turnaround for business initiatives, new product launches and projects.
Risk: Ensure proper corporate governance and policy compliance in place for Treasury & Markets business and maintain overview that operational risk areas are policed adequately and regular reporting of outstanding and exceptions are undertaken. Ensure proper DRP / BCP plans are developed and tested. Ensure Audit ratings are acceptable and managed carefully.
Regional Synergy: Create a HO consultative role to support the development of Financial Market products in other Treasury & Markets locations in an efficient, controlled and functional manner.
Projects: Completing the projects with quality and fastest turnaround
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Identify new opportunities for cost reduction and / or processing efficiency improvements to ensure consistently improving customer delivery
• Monitor and mitigate business risks
• Delivering business solutions in the fastest possible time
• Decide on substantial changes and investments in areas of responsibility
• Ensure policy compliance and meeting RBI / Audit requirements
• Represent Treasury & Markets at various bank forums ensuring professionalism at all times
Required Experience
Non – Technical Experience
• Strong Managerial Skills
Technical Experience
• 5 year minimum banking experience
• Good knowledge of treasury products & environment including end to end knowledge of processing, accounting, risk, controls, compliance, general banking and regulatory requirements
