Educational Qualification-
Minimum B.E. /B.Tech /MCA /M.Tech or Four Years Graduate program in Computers/IT or equivalent from a recognized Institute/University
OR
•Engineering Graduate/ Postgraduate with Certification or Specialization in Geographical Information Systems or equivalent
Experience –
• 6-10 years of relevant experience in working on and managing GIS projects, spatial analysis, GIS portal development through use of Python, R, SQL, and other languages
Job Description-
• 6-+ years of relevant experience in working on and managing GIS projects, Spatial Analysis, GIS portal development through use of Python, R, SQL, and other languages
Key Responsibilities-
• Oversee all GIS functions including data analysis, technical development, and project management
• Work with multiple data sources and create insightful visualizations - charts, graphs, and dashboards - to identify trends and help in decision-making
• Retrieve, process, clean, and analyze data from various sources such as web services (WMS/WFS)
• Undertake GIS mapping , GIS Modelling, data management and geoprocessing
• Develop web- and desktop-based GIS applications
• Develop mapping applications and tool to automate GIS processes
• Prepare maps and figures for reports and analysis using GIS data
• Support governments in cleaning, processing, and performing statistical analysis on datasets
• Develop required workflows for data cleansing and transformation
• Improve and integrate data to find creative solutions to urban problems
• Ensure that the data visualizations are easily accessible and readable on all platforms by targeted user group
• Demonstrate creative thinking capabilities and propose innovative ways to look at problems by correlating data from various sources
• Manage multiple GIS projects and engage with relevant stakeholders in the ecosystem
• Analyse and suggest most appropriate technologies to be used across projects
• Investigate new GIS applications possible in the urban domain
