About the role
Join our experienced and collaborative Geotechnical team, where you’ll take ownership of a variety of projects and play a key role in delivering high-quality geotechnical services to our clients.
You’ll be involved in every stage of the project lifecycle, from planning and conducting site investigations to analysing data and preparing technical reports. You’ll carry out fieldwork including testing, sampling, and logging, while also managing project schedules, liaising directly with clients, and providing on-site observation and inspection during construction.
Based in our Queenstown office, you’ll work as part of a supportive and dynamic team, while also collaborating with colleagues across our national business. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical expertise, contribute to a wide range of projects, and make a real impact

About you
Tertiary qualification, Bachelor of Engineering – Civil or Environmental, Bachelor of Science majoring in Geology or Earth Sciences, or equivalent qualification
5 years’+ experience in a similar role
In-depth knowledge of NZ standards, building codes, statutory requirements, and the use of applicable software
Basic knowledge of soil mechanics, slope stability, retaining wall, earthworks and geotechnical foundation engineering
A high level of attention to detail with excellent planning and sound problem-solving skills you will take pride in producing quality documentation
Thrive on a challenge and be motivated to provide innovative solutions for our clients
Enjoy working in a team environment and communicating with a wide range of people
