Key Duties & Responsibilities
To perform a wide variety of duties to coordinate sales & business
development functions and execute the companys sales & marketing
policies, order processing, and credit policy,
Strategic
Define, develop, and recommend marketing strategies (segmentation,
differentiation, positioning, pricing, etc.), programs, and sales & marketing
tools; execute marketing/ pricing policy and plans
Locate and Develop channel partners
Plan and implement time bound projects (e.g., vendor registration with end
users/ consultants/ EPC contractors) that will help secure a competitive
advantage and future business
Functional
Collate the estimates of existing regional market potential, develop and
oversee implementation of a customer coverage plan
Analyze sales & industry data, market trends, and impact of changes in
external variables (e.g. political situation, exchange rate, interest rate, IMPEX
policy, etc.) and review/revise sales plan as necessary
Manage the sales process for tenders and direct sales; analyze reasons for
lost orders
Set sales targets for channel partners provide/ organize sales support, monitor
status, and ensure achievement on a sustained basis
Ensure prompt follow-up with customers for orders, commercial terms,
payments, approvals, problem resolution, etc.
Manage key product/ customer accounts
Collect, collate, and evaluate market feedback and competitor information;
develop and recommend tactical plans to counter competition
Design customer credit policy and implement approved policy; monitor
receivables and ensure timely receipt of payments
implement sales promotion campaigns (e.g. participation in exhibitions,
advertising, mailers, etc.)
Work with other functional teams to resolve quality or delivery issues or
customer complaints
Network actively to increase professional contacts; liaise with consultants,
influencers, etc.
Seek inputs or clearance from the Head Sales & Marketing for special pricing
policy, pricing and availability of non-standard items, critical deliveries, etc
Perform other duties that may arise in the course of employment as assigned
by management.
