Job Purpose
Responsible as Regional Lead for development of product platform along with Integration with defined strategic sources for Finance Services Automation Platform supporting EUC Remediation through automation. Responsibility of building team capable of delivering to highest Engineering Excellence standards, using Test Driven Development, Pair Programming and Agile practices. This role is responsible for enabling India team for building new features in Automated Computing Solution (ACS) platform for onboarding new usecases and support platform as service. This role will be a key contributor to strategy of adoption of this platform across different teams for automation and EUC remediation, wherein the platform is to be offered as a core service by this centralized team.
Able to work independently and manage and motivate the team and possess good communication skills. Has experience in working on complex and medium to large projects, navigate complex organization structure, managing senior stakeholders in the business and technology globally.

GFT Finance Services Automation platform 'Appian Computing Solution ACS' is a global platform in Global Functions Technology built for providing low code automation services. The platform is built for Finance and Risk Shared Services (FRSS) global team (spread across centres in APAC and NAM) to automate thousands of manual processes that are required to complete as part of daily/month/quarter-end close process. Platform is going to be leveraged across other business units with ACS platform team maintaining the core product. Platform will also be enhanced to allow FRSS Power Users to participate in workflow development and process modeling. The India team is the global center for the creation of automation workflows, supported by teams in London and Belfast.
Responsibilities:
• The position is based in Pune, India and is required to review the day to day delivery work of platform team, ensuring a robust architecture and development process implementation, identifying delivery risks arising and work on risk mitigation.
• This role will be the point for all development and architecture delivery of platform from India.
• This role will also be responsible for supporting on platform features to FINSAP delivery teams.
• This role will be responsible for centralizing automation of database processes and functionally own this stream.
• Candidate will lead the Platform Service for one of the business unit who will be adopting this platform and also contribute independently on required SDLC functions by working with peers within the group. He/she will represent the organization to third parties (Appian product) and clients.
• Responsible for leading team of Appian Architects, Solution Architects, Appian developers and database developers.
• As FINSAP organization delivers to all the FRSS/Finance sub-businesses (Integrated Close, Balance Sheet Substantiation, Reg Reporting, etc), this role will partner with regional/global FRSS Centre Leads and Technology Leads with strong governance framework.
• Applies skills and knowledge of the business to develop creative solutions to meet client and business needs.
• The candidate will work with complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting needs
• Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources.
Expected Results
• Build and lead the FINSAP Platform team responsible for the evolution of the ACS automation platform by building features in low code tools for enabling custom point to solution for automation of manual workflows, to be used by developers and power uses for automating current EUC’s in a controlled SDLC framework.
• Define the Appian Computing Solution (ACS) core product roadmap for the BOW driven by complexity of EUC's, integration points and support meeting OCC committed target.
• Implement this platform for other client business units to deliver on commitment to business and OCC
• Build team and test strategy that drive the platform to quality tested product.
• Evolve the team culture and drive capability uplift of the existing team to reach the highest standards of Engineering Excellence – focused on quality of code, testing and engagement with business and global IT teams.
• Build a culture of ownership & deliveries in the teams.
• Help build strong career path for employees in the organization.
• Evaluates subordinates' performance and makes decisions on pay increases, hiring, terminations and other personnel actions.
• Applies in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures and knowledge of other areas like development, qa and production support to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.
• Full Software Development Lifecycle. Customer interfacing - understand customer requirements, propose technical solutions.
• Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of how areas of apps development and QA collectively integrate to contribute to achieving business goals; requires advanced industry knowledge.
• Requirement gathering & understanding, effort estimation, technical design, project planning and monitoring
• Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations. This requires partnering with technology partners across multiple sub systems.
• Deliver high quality, innovative and cost effective service to our business/client/stakeholders
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and meeting SLA's
• Managing stakeholders with respect to deliveries and implementation plan
• Participate/Lead discussion with FRSS and FINSAP Development teams for platform required features planning, system integration and mandatory change requests upgrades
Must Have Skills
• 15+ Years of overall experience with 10+ years of experience within the financial services in development
• Experience in software development, solution architecture, application maintenance, Transformation Programs from a BFSI Industry
• Experience in managing team size of 30+
• Experience managing technology teams across different functions
• Strong Experience of interacting with globally diversified stakeholder spread over many international locations and time-zones (APAC, EMEA and NAM)
• Experience of working in Investment Banking, Capital Markets or Retail Banking
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Experience as Product Delivery Lead and delivering a product from inception till productionization
• Experience in database/inmemory/sql, any of python or java technologies or Low Coode Tool Appian , application transformation, application digitization and handling huge volume of data.
• Capable of assisting with the design of solutions and mentoring other Leads / Developers
• Experience in estimation of large size program, planning across multiple streams and setting up processes across development, deployment, QA and product management
• Collaborative by nature, builds partnerships across the firm
• Able to demonstrate an expertise in identifying and resolving priortization issues – arising out of multiple development teams working in parallel and streamlining Product backlog Prioritization, Release Management and Production plans
• Organized and prepared to manage multiple parallel pieces of work
• Creative and innovative, brings different angles to problems and provides new solutions
• Hands-on architecture experience on all part of SDLC - application development, application deployment, application test, performance testing, infrastructure/capacity planning and implementation of processes across environments.
• Production level experience on working with large data volumes and be able to demonstrate a firm understanding of logical data structures and analysis techniques
• Working knowledge of industry practices and standards in development, build engineering and release management.
• Candidate should be willing to work extended hours in order to interact with global partners/teams or as per project demand.
