The ideal candidate will serve as a technical lead on utility client engagements, guiding both onshore and offshore development teams, ensuring the successful delivery of innovative and scalable geospatial solutions.

COMPENSATION
Salary Range: $120,000 to $160,000 flexible based on expertise and skills
Bonuses: Discretionary
annual performance + team leadership incentive
Paid Time Off: 20 PTO days + 11 paid Federal holidays

RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, implement, and maintain ESRI Utility Network models and workflows for utility clients (electric, gas).
Lead ArcGIS Enterprise upgrade planning, execution, and post-upgrade support across development, test, and production environments.
Integrate GIS solutions with enterprise systems, databases, and third-party APIs.
Lead technical planning, design reviews, and solution architecture for GIS projects.
Act as a technical liaison between stakeholders and developers, translating business requirements into technical specifications.
Design, develop, and deploy web-based GIS applications using ESRI tools (ArcGIS API for JavaScript, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, Experience Builder, etc.).
Manage and mentor onshore and offshore GIS development teams, ensuring code quality, adherence to best practices, and on-time delivery.
Conduct system testing, troubleshoot issues, and support application deployment and maintenance.
Document application architecture, code, and development processes.
Stay current with emerging GIS technologies and provide recommendations for system improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, or related field.
6+ years of experience.
Expertise in ESRI product suite including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Online, and associated APIs.
Strong programming skills in JavaScript, Python, HTML/CSS, and related web technologies.
Experience with geospatial web services (REST, WMS, WFS).
Proficient in SQL and working with spatial databases such as PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server, or Oracle Spatial.
Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and managing distributed development resources.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
10+ years of hands-on experience in GIS application development.
ESRI technical certifications.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience with .NET-based ArcGIS add-in development for ArcGIS Pro.
Familiarity with cloud GIS platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes).
Background in utilities, transportation, or local government GIS applications.
Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, and Node.js.
Other Requirements:
Flexibility to work across U.S. time zones as needed.
Must be able to work legally in the US without sponsorship.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
Ability to pass a background check.
