Job Description:
Garudalytics is currently seeking a GIS Software Developer with a minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience and a track record of real-time application development in the geospatial technology industry. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in GIS and remote sensing, possess a comprehensive understanding of real-world challenges, and be capable of providing solutions employing a wide spectrum of software development skills. This role entails working with both proprietary and open-source geospatial technologies to design, build, and sustain advanced web applications and tools.
Responsibilities:
• Design, test, and maintain web applications employing ReactJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and VB.Net.
• Use ESRI WebApp Builder or Experience Builder to develop intuitive, user-friendly GIS applications.
• Apply open-source development tools, such as Leaflets and Open Layers, to augment the functionality and user experience of our products.
• Administer geodatabases, including overseeing data migration for spatial data.
• Construct and sustain applications employing the ArcGIS JavaScript API.
• Draft Python scripts to automate and enhance GIS processes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, GIS, or a related field. A Master's degree is highly desirable.
• Demonstrable experience in GIS software development, preferably in a real-time application development setting.
• Strong proficiency in ReactJS, HTML, CSS, Javascript, and VB.Net.
• Prior experience with ESRI WebApp Builder or Experience Builder is a must.
• Familiarity with open-source development tools like Leaflet and Open Layers.
• Prior experience in geodatabase management and data migration for spatial data.
• Proficiency in the ArcGIS Javascript API.
• Experience in Python scripting for GIS processes.
• Comprehensive understanding of GIS and remote sensing principles.
• Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to transform complex problems into pragmatic solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
