Trigyn has a contractual opportunity GIS Support. This resource will be working anywhere in Africa.
Job Responsibilities:
• Geospatial Information Systems Technician will assist in the maintenance of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and the development of GIS applications, services and products.
• Assist in installation, maintenance and fine tune of GIS Servers and Desktops.
• Assist in the deployment of geospatial applications and other products.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of spatial data management tools and databases.
• Assist in the development of geospatial models.
• Assist in geospatial data quality control. f.If required, assist in data collection and/or ground-truth verification.
• Assist in the design and provision of GIS-related training.
Required Experience:
• At least 5 years working experience in the area of Geospatial Information Systems.
• Experience in GIS software such as ArcGIS software (Server and Desktop) and ArcGIS extensions. Experience in using remote sensing software such as ERDAS Imagine, ERDAS LPS, etc.
• Must have a national drivers licence for a light motor vehicle.
• Fluency in English, both written and oral, is required.
