Introduction
The main purpose of the role is to support the growth ambition of the Indian Payments & Cash Management (PCM) business by developing & driving the escrow services business. The incumbent will be expected to structure and execute escrow deals.
Aligned to the overall India PCM strategy, the individual works closely with Relationship Directors and Global Relationship Directors in identifying escrow business opportunities. The role will require a strong knowledge of escrow accounts and overview of the allied regulatory and legal consideration. The incumbent should be a subject matter expert and should be able to balance deal sourcing and execution while managing stakeholders across legal, finance, compliance, etc..

• Play an integral part in achieving the Cash income plan by taking ownership of the escrow services P&L
ï‚
• Drive escrow services business by identifying opportunities, building a strong pipeline of deals and converting mandates to drive revenue growth.

• Be a specialist in escrow services and take end-to-end ownership in handling clients’ major financial transactions from structuring to execution and ongoing support through the transaction
ï‚
• Build a strong rapport with clients and internal stakeholders particularly legal and compliance for deal structuring as well as facilitate document negotiation
ï‚
• To establish Barclays as one of the market leaders in the field of escrow account management, aligned to the Corporate Bank transaction banking teams globally.
ï‚
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships with valuable key names and promote cross-sell for the larger PCM business flows.
ï‚
• Provide introductions to treasury colleagues, as well as other group partners in order to maximise group revenue as a whole.
What will you be doing?
ï ¶ To drive Escrow mandates and own the India P&L for escrow services across client segments
ï ¶ Business Development – implement a clear business origination plan/strategy to originate escrow deals by leveraging existing global corridors as well as identifying new channels for lead generation
ï ¶ Building and developing a network within the regions, particularly with ICB and stakeholders globally.
ï ¶ Covert relationship leads into sales and maximise opportunities through proactive identification of opportunities
ï ¶ Sales & Pipeline management – develop market action and account plans for key clients, pipeline and deal management, strong stakeholder management across verticals
ï ¶ Stay abreast of market and regulatory developments, acting as a subject matter expert for further product development
ï ¶ Take ownership of structuring the solution and negotiation of documents by liaising actively with all stakeholders across legal and compliance
ï ¶ Ensure a strong risk discipline, demonstrate prudence, sound judgement and appropriate and timely escalations in the management of all types of risk applicable to the role
ï ¶ Actively support marketing and client events.
What We’re Looking For
ï ¶ 10+ years’ experience working in a business development or sales team
ï ¶ Strong knowledge of the Indian corporate and financial markets
ï ¶ Excellent knowledge of cash management, liquidity and global payment solutions
ï ¶ Experience in sales management; pipeline and stakeholder management
ï ¶ Strong commerciality and understanding of relative value of deposits and money transmission
ï ¶ Strong understanding of risk, compliance and regulatory governance

ï ¶ Flexible thinking; able to find alternative solutions to those first presented when required by the client
ï ¶ Proven experiences of managing a sales team
ï ¶ Strong communicator and influencer with proven selling and negotiation skills
ï ¶ Team player, ability to work in an agile global environment,
ï ¶ Experience in working within a global matrix environment
