The Role
The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) is the Australian government agency responsible for the promotion and marketing of Australian education internationally.
We are seeking Global Engagement Advisers (GEAs) to support the Global Engagement Managers (GEMs) in the delivery of strategic and connected global services to help Australian Education and Training providers with their international engagement and expansion.
THE ROLE
Support their team in identifying, targeting and assessing Australian exporters with the potential to become Austrade clients;
Develop an understanding of specific client needs;
Produce relevant, customised information and advice for clients;
Support their team to deliver outcomes and action plans for clients through effective communication;
Ensuring the quality and consistency of service delivery;
Using research, sector experience and knowledge of relevant education policy and regulations to help develop and deliver services;
Supporting the delivery of clients’ action plans, which could include visits, introductions, and insights generation; and
Working with partners and allies;
Assist in identifying and managing risks to clients;
Assist in the maintenance of client records in our CRM system and other software;
Build and maintain networks and relationships with industry, government and peak bodies;
Contribute to the improvement of Austrade’s digital services;
Develop and maintain an understanding of doing global business (including export and investment trends, challenges and opportunities);
Monitor changes in the broader environment that may impact the education sector and international trade and investment, escalating where required; and
Demonstrate well-developed written and oral communication skills.

Eligibility
Australian Citizenship - Our successful candidate must be an Australian citizen.
