Job Description
Project Lead managing the delivery of projects for Global Equities Operations, including: requirement gathering, managing execution of test strategies, and go-live preparation in accordance with the Team's best in class protocols
Role encompasses business analysis to identify, assess, and articulate near-term business needs, advise businesses on options, risks, and costs of technology solutions versus benefits
Proactively communicate global and local business requirements/priorities to key stakeholders; solicit feedback and obtain sign-off on project documentation.
Facilitate implementation of new functionality through training sessions, demos, and the development of training material.
Regular presentation of project progress, risks, and issues to diverse groups of senior management
Improving our team's use of Project data, incorporating into management presentations and trend analyses, using MIS applications (Including Qlikview and similar - Alteryx and Tableau)
Work closely with Trading, Product Development, Business Managers and Middle Office Leads to understand their needs and priorities.
Define and manage the scope of projects, anticipating issues and proactively recommending solutions.
Perform root cause analysis to distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Scope, elicit, analyze and document business requirements using a variety of techniques and tools.
Ownership and delivery of your portfolio of initiatives.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
At least 5 years experience working in the financial industry, understanding of Equity Derivatives and BA/PM skills as a must. Knowledge of regulatory landscape a big plus.
Experience managing small, medium, and large scale projects from inception through completion independently, utilizing Project Management / Business Analyst / Design skills
Manage Large-Scale Tests, with Hands-on UAT experience, to orchestrate multiple workstreams for Status Tracking, Reporting, Defect Management and Issue resolutions
Excellent Project Management skills with a track record in delivering complex projects on behalf of Front Office / Operations / Technology.
Ability to analyze and document complex current state and future state processes using BPM tools.
Experience with data analytics; using analytics tools to understand large volumes of data and use it to make decisions.
Experience of preparing for and running UAT.
Good understanding of trade processes and flows.
Fluency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and SharePoint
Deep skills with regards to creation of Business Requirement Documents, Functional Specifications, and Test Plans.
Working experience with Clearing products and lifecycle, including: Futures, Options, OTC Derivatives, and margining and E xperience with Equities products including: Equities Cash and Derivatives, Prime Cash and Synthetics, and Stock Borrow Loan
