Job brief:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Global Event Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Global Event Manager, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of global events. From conferences, retreats, gala dinners, roundtables, and corporate meetings, you will be responsible for managing an event team, including an Event Coordinator and Team/Admin Assistant. You will also be in charge event forecasting, ensuring that we have an overview of all the events in the calendar year and are aware of important dates.

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):

- Plan, manage, and execute global events from start to finish, ensuring all aspects are well-coordinated and executed flawlessly.

- Lead and manage an event team, including two Event Coordinators, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure everyone is aligned with event objectives and responsibilities.

- Collaborate with the Event Coordinators to assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and oversee their progress to ensure smooth event operations.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and stakeholders to secure necessary resources and services.

- Create and manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and monitor expenses to ensure cost-effective event planning.

- Oversee contract management for all events, ensuring legal compliance, timely execution, and accurate documentation.

- Conduct event forecasting, working closely with the team to create a comprehensive calendar of events for the year, including key dates, milestones, and dependencies.

- Maintain an overview of all events in the calendar year, ensuring that important dates and deadlines are communicated to the appropriate teams.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop event strategies and programming that align with organisational goals and objectives.

- Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, travel arrangements, accommodations, catering, audiovisual equipment, and other event-related requirements.

- Coordinate with the event and communications teams to develop event branding, promotional materials, and pre- and post-event communications.

- Conduct post-event evaluations and analysis to measure event success and identify areas for improvement.

- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance event experiences and outcomes.

Requirements and Skills:

To be successful in this role, you would need to demonstrate the following skills, knowledge, and experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.

- Proven experience in managing and executing global events, with a strong track record of successful outcomes.

- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience in guiding and motivating event teams.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

- Proficiency in event management software and tools to streamline planning, execution, and evaluation processes.

- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality events that exceed expectations.

- Flexibility to travel and work on weekends or outside regular office hours as required.

Salary: £50-60K (Dependent on experience)
