Position Overview
The Global Events & Field Marketing Manager will lead our global events strategy, establishing an effective framework that supports regional marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing awareness, engagement, and demand for Cengage and its offerings.
Key responsibilities include developing event promotion strategies, defining speaker and content guidelines, designing post-event journeys, and measuring success. You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and GTM teams, along with external vendors, to create localized, market-relevant experiences that align with our global strategy and brand standards.
Your Responsibilities:
• Define and maintain global event experience principles and standards, ensuring top-quality brand representation across all markets.
• Guide global event participation decisions that align with company goals, including event selection, attendance representation, and on-site activities.
• Oversee event logistics management, establishing standards for information sharing across regions.
• Create models for tracking event budgets and ROI, ensuring spending aligns with approved plans and tracking event leads in our system.
• Develop and provide approved, customizable materials (e.g., presentations, one-pagers, emails, event follow-ups) to support regional sales moments and events.
• Ensure quality assurance on customized materials, maintaining alignment with global branding, messaging, and legal guidelines.
• Execute short-term assignments independently while adhering to established procedures under general supervision.
Qualifications:
• Experience in event marketing and field marketing concepts, including planning, coordinating, and executing events.
• Background in supporting marketing activities related to sales, including customization of marketing materials.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, resolving issues and prioritizing time-sensitive requests effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing timelines, vendors, budgets, and logistics across regions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
• Ability to apply judgment to moderately complex tasks within established guidelines and procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in event marketing, field marketing, or related roles.
