International Education Counselor Role
The role of an International Education Counselor involves working with prospective students and parents to guide them through the admission process for international programs. This includes highlighting the unique benefits and opportunities offered by such programs.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Engaging with inquiries and leads for international programs, managing them across various channels such as calls, emails, and events.
• Counseling students and parents about program details, curriculum, admission requirements, and global career pathways.
• Ensuring timely follow-ups and conversions of leads into applications and admissions.
• Achieving individual admission targets while contributing to team goals.
• Maintaining accurate records on CRM systems and generating timely reports.
• Collaborating with marketing and outreach teams for campaigns and student engagement initiatives.
Key Skills & Competencies required include:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (mandatory).
• Strong counseling, persuasion, and presentation abilities.
• Awareness of international higher education systems and student mobility trends.
• Ability to engage with students and parents from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational and follow-up discipline with CRM familiarity.
• Target-driven, proactive, and team-oriented mindset.
Qualifications & Experience required include:
• Bachelor's degree.
• 2–4 years of experience in student counseling, preferably for international programs or global education consultancy.
