As the Chapter Lead – Director, you embody the 'player-coach' archetype, expertly balancing direct, hands-on software development with comprehensive leadership and mentorship within an Agile squad. This role demands robust engagement with both internal and external stakeholders, including data architects, developers, data engineers, business partners, and other service providers across diverse functional groups. You are expected to bring substantial expertise in data systems architecture and a strong technical proficiency with tools such as AWS, Lambda, messaging queues, and open-source technologies.
In your daily operations, you will be an active participant in Agile scrum ceremonies, working in close collaboration with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Analysts to ensure that projects are not only prioritized but also executed with high efficiency in each sprint. While your principal focus will center on spearheading solution architecture and engaging in hands-on development, your responsibilities will also extend to providing strategic guidance and fostering the growth and development of your team. This dual focus ensures that strategic project initiatives are aligned with tactical execution, driving significant business outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead the creation and ongoing refinement of architectural frameworks to support the development of innovative digital products.
• Translate complex business requirements into specific designs for systems, applications, or processes that address large-scale, multifaceted initiatives.
• Manage strategic data architecture to align with organizational goals, ensuring effective data collection, storage, processing, and utilization.
• Define and implement data and solution architecture standards, collaborating with stakeholders to maintain exacting standards that support strategic objectives.
• Develop methods and procedures to monitor and enhance data quality, compliance, and overall integrity to ensure adherence to standards and regulations.

• Provides hands-on technical guidance and leadership as a 'player-coach' to ServiceNow engineers, application developers, and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Designs, develops, and maintains high-performance applications using React, Java, and Node.js, ensuring top quality and responsiveness.
• Translates complex business requirements into efficient application architectures and system integrations to enhance data-driven decisions.
• Defines and manages data architecture frameworks, standards, and principles, including modeling, metadata, and security.
• Excels in dynamic environments, adeptly managing ambiguity and promoting Agile practices to enhance team flexibility and responsiveness.
• Communicates complex technical information effectively, aligning project goals with business strategies through clear stakeholder management.
• Develops and delivers long-term strategic goals for technology and architecture in collaboration with end users and key stakeholders.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
• Over 10 years of relevant engineering and solution architecture experience, with a proven ability to lead global technical teams.
• Demonstrated line management expertise, adept at steering cross-functional teams in an international setting.
• Proficient in full-stack development, particularly skilled in React, Java, and Node.js, with a strong emphasis on maintaining high performance, quality, and responsiveness in applications.
• Extensive knowledge in Amazon Web Services (AWS), particularly Lambda, and experienced with messaging queues and open-source technologies.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, with a commitment to advocating and implementing Agile practices within technical teams.
• Excellent collaboration skills, effective in partnering with business stakeholders, users, and technical teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Possesses a strategic architectural mindset, focused on constructing scalable and robust systems.
• Highly organized and proactive, demonstrating a clear sense of ownership and responsibility.
• Capable of influencing and leading within a matrixed organizational structure.
• Continuously eager to acquire modern technologies and quickly adapt to evolving project requirements.
