At Prezzee, we're seeking a seasoned Global Legal Leader to spearhead our legal function and drive strategic growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll provide visionary guidance on regulatory compliance, governance, corporate transactions, finance, and privacy.

This role is based in Sydney or Melbourne office and offers a unique opportunity to shape our global expansion and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global legal team, fostering collaboration and alignment with company objectives.
Act as a trusted advisor to the Board and Executive Team, providing clear and strategic legal counsel on business-critical matters.
Oversee corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and due diligence, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
Develop and implement strategies to protect and maximise the value of Prezzee's intellectual property portfolio.
Streamline legal operations, leveraging technology and AI to drive efficiency and scalability.
Ensure compliance with global regulatory frameworks, including privacy, consumer protection, data security, and governance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Finance, and Technology, to integrate legal considerations into business strategies.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with external regulators, auditors, and legal partners.
Requirements
10+ years PQE.
Admission to practice law in Australia, with additional international qualifications (e.g., U.S. or U.K.) considered a plus.
A background in fintech/payments, startups, or listed organisations, with a strong understanding of regulatory landscapes.
Proven ability to operate in a high-growth, fast-paced environment with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach.
Exceptional leadership and strategic problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex legal and business challenges.
A commercial mindset with a strong focus on risk management and enabling business success.
