Global Metadata Lead
A leading Shared Services / Captive BPO KPO in Ahmedabad is looking for a Global Metadata Lead role
The profile will encompass the following :
- Key competency of this role is focused on the facilitation and leadership of metadata activities in the various data communities across the organization
- This position is responsible for developing metadata solutions in accordance with the metadata management control framework and methodology
- This role will provide broad reaching oversight for engaging the business to identify, define and document business terms on the metadata management tool with the guidance of the Data Governance Lead
- In addition, he/she will manage the process for reaching out to each stakeholder, communicating, and validating the stakeholder interests and ultimately planning the metadata workshops, which are workshops designed for the affiliated stakeholders to share business terms and perspectives on the logic, purpose, KPIs and use of each business term associated with a specific use case
- Perform business requirements analysis for business rules and documents associated with population and extraction of metadata resources
- Through these repetitive activities the Metadata Lead will establish mechanisms to improve how each data community measures and improve the overall health of its organizational data sets
- Designing & implementing metadata scorecards to systematically demonstrate the overall improvement of metadata in the organization
- Validate completeness of data lineage between the point of data element creation (system of record) and the point where it is consumed by business users (trusted data source)
- Driving master data management practices, including the creation and usage of sanctioned master data, and the enterprise reference data master & hierarchy management assets
- Leading and managing indirectly a team of professionals as well as influencing key stakeholders across the organization
- Providing leadership and project sponsorship for sanctioned data improvement projects
- Develop and deliver enterprise-wide educational programs to increase the organization's maturity in data management, metadata, governance, architecture, and analytics
- Demonstrated understanding of metadata (business and technical), data modeling and dimensional modeling
