Key responsibilities include but not limited to the below:
Perform & coordinate the payments control testing per the defined schedule. Drive the start & end of the year processes, define and drive the testing prior to the deadlines. Provide timely updates on status to relevant partners. Collaborate where required to resolve any differences
Engage with Operations risk teams across the bank to understand the control documentation and operating effectiveness standards and work with functional teams to align to those standards
Perform independent assessment of the operating effectiveness of controls through testing, challenge to the functions and cross reference to the bank’s guidelines and policy framework
Independently engage with Control Owners, Functional SMEs, Payments Governance, Finance and SOX teams and other functions to ensure testing completeness
Provide guidance on the control requirements, share best-practices and drive remediation action where necessary
Manage daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reporting of testing progress against SOX/CAF timelines provide transparency to the regional/global leads on the risks in their function

Your skills and experience
We are looking for dynamic individuals who are
Driven, focused on learning, capable of independently operating
Proven experience in Operations / Finance / Product Control or similar roles with a strong understanding of trade flows and exposure to Cash/Securities Settlements / OTC FX / Asset Servicing functions
Proven experience in control testing, audit and or assurance will be a significant advantage
Experience in Control functions, detailed knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations, accounting, break remediation and month close activities
Demonstrate effective analytical/problem solving and decision making skills
Attention to detail, diligent and good time management of tasks
Strong communication skills and able to establish excellent partnership with partners
Proven eagerness to learn and develop skills, and business awareness
Own and be accountable for the management of own performance
A positive ‘can-do’ attitude & a growth mindset
