Job Description
Citi Private Bank Capital Market Operations in Asia supports various products such as FX, FX Option, Equity Accumulator/Decumulator, Equity Options, Swaps, CDS, Rates Derivatives and Market Linked Instrument for transaction processing, confirmation, settlements and regulatory reporting. OTC derivatives asset classes covered are Equity, Rates, Credit, FX and Commodities.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Ensure timely and accurate validation of client termsheet, counterparty termsheet and trade blotter against OTC derivatives/complex structured trades booked in system.
• Ensure timely, accurate and complete generation of client confirmations in adherence to applicable regulatory requirements.
• Review and ensure transaction processing, booking and settlements with counterparty and client for the entire OTC derivatives trade lifecycle including Corporate Action adjustments are accurate and timely.
• Review and ensure regulatory reporting are accurate and reported timely.
• Provide detailed analysis of escalated issues when necessary and recommend actions for resolution.
• Reconcile, investigate and timely resolution of exceptions/breaks related to trade settlements, Nostro/wash accounts, General Ledger accounts, Mark to Market (MTM), bilateral margin and client statements/confirmations.
• Solve complex inquiries from various stakeholders and escalate exceptions as needed with internal clients and counterparties.
• Ensure that the bank's procedures and controls are complied with to prevent losses or risks due to errors, omission or non-compliance.
Participate in testing, adhoc project or initiatives assigned from time to time
Qualifications
• 15+ years experience of which minimum of 10 years in investment Operational process management in Wealth management Operations
• 5-10 of experience in Capital Markets/OTC Derivatives operations preferred
• Demonstrated experience in OTC derivatives products, lifecycle events and accounting
• Ability to manage multi layer teams and ability in managing multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to handle pressure, Strong interpersonal skills required for frequent multi-level interaction
• Competence in Risk & Control, detailed knowledge of financial markets and regulations, ability to identify and mitigate emerging risks
• Leadership skills; strong communication and presentation / public speaking skills
• Individual must posses strong analytical skill to lead the change of the processes in Operations. Able to analyze some of the current process and work on refining the processes to optimize and increase the efficiencies
• Extensive experience supporting the Operations for UHNW groups and strong knowledge about the products and services such as Banking Operations; Client Support Services; Security and Advisory Operations; Capital Markets Operation
• Prior experience managing the teams working in night shift
