Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity
We are looking for a General Manager Change Management to lead and establish the Change Management Centre of excellence. This pivotal senior leader role will set the Co-op’s change management strategy ensuring change management activity is integrated within Business Units and holistically across the enterprise.

You will be accountable for establishing, leading and continuously evolving the enterprise change management methodology and capability.

You’ll lead a team of change practitioners aligned to business units for portfolio management, as well as change managers deployed to priority projects.

Partnering closely with senior business leaders, this role plays a critical part in the delivery of organisational strategy and long-term outcomes. It offers internal candidates the opportunity to broaden their enterprise impact, shape culture, and leave a legacy by building enduring capability within a large, values-driven Co-operative.

Mōu | About You

You are a strategic, people-centred change leader with a seasoned background operating in large, complex organisations undergoing significant transformation. You bring deep expertise in optimising enterprise-wide change management outcomes, taking an enterprise-wide view that ensures initiatives are embedded consistently across business units and delivered in a way that realises sustainable value.

You have extensive people leadership experience including leading multidisciplinary teams of technical specialists and are known for building high-performing teams that thrive in complex, ambiguous environments. You are comfortable operating at executive level, with a proven ability to engage, influence, and partner with senior leaders to align change activity with organisational strategy and critical business outcomes.

You bring comprehensive experience across Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery models, enabling you to tailor change approaches to suit diverse initiatives and operating contexts. You have successfully established, led, and evolved enterprise change management methodologies and capability, taking ownership for ensuring change practices are scalable, embedded, and future focused.
