Job Description

Job description
Our energy system is on the brink of a major transformation, and we’re looking for someone to help us ensure this new system puts rooftop solar energy at the cornerstone!

Our organization is growing, and we are looking for two (2) Go Solar Fellows to join our team for a 12-month Fellowship!

About the Fellowship

We are seeking two (2) Fellows to join our team supporting our Go Solar department. Each Fellow will primarily support one (1) region within our organizational structure:
Heartland Region (Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia)
West Region (Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, Texas, Nevada)
This temporary part-time employment is an opportunity open to people of all educational backgrounds and work experience levels who are U.S. or Puerto Rico residents. Fellows must utilize their own computer. This position will directly report to a Go Solar Senior Associate.

Fellows will support field staff in their day-to-day implementation of solar co-ops and other programming. This includes tracking co-op members in Salesforce, answering co-op member inquiries, maintaining content on program websites, and drafting materials for use by field and communications staff.  They will also help review and prepare solar installer bids for our co-ops and will gain familiarity with the finances and equipment of a solar installation.

Fellows will receive college credit or an hourly wage of $17.50, with flexible work hours ranging from 15 to 20 hours per week. This role offers a fun and engaging remote work environment, with the option to work from our Washington, D.C. office near Dupont Circle. Fellows will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful and impactful projects, gaining valuable hands-on experience.

Please include a resume with your application. A cover letter is optional; however, it can be a helpful way for you to communicate your fitness for the position if you think that may not be obvious from your resume.
